Bonus Point Scoring Options

Seed Multiplier
» Multiply the standard round points by the team seed number
Example:
In a pool with this scoring method: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
  • Correctly pick the 1 seed over the 16 in round 1, then receive 1 point (1 seed * 1 pt for round 1 = 1 pt)
  • Correctly pick the 8 seed over the 1 seed in round 2, then receive 16 points (8 seed * 2 pts for round 2 = 16 pts)
Bracket Upset Bonus
» 1 point per seeding difference for picking upsets
Example:
  • Correctly pick a 12 seed over a 5 seed and receive 7 bonus points on top of that round's standard points. (12 seed - 5 seed = 7 pts)
  • (seed multiplier is applied before upset bonus)
Final Four Bonus
» Correctly predict all final 4 teams and get 25 bonus points

Object of the Game

March Madness bracket pools when does it start? Between March 14 and Thursday March 18 at 12 noon ET.

The object of the game is to get the most points.

In a March Madness pool, each game can count a different amount depending on which pool format you choose. A win could count as 1 point (if you choose "Straight Pick'em") or as many as 16 points (if you choose a "Ranking/Confidence" or "Weighted" pool format). Each incorrect pick will earn you 0 (zero) points.
Once all the games are completed, a winner is determined, by counting how many points they earned from the number of winners they picked.
The catch is that all picks, including the championship game, must be made before the tip off of the first game in round 1. That is the essence of a bracket style pool.
